Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs (bone-in)
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- 100ml soy sauce
- 100ml white vinegar
- 200ml chicken stock
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- Rice, to serve
Method
- Place chicken in the slow cooker.
- Mix soy sauce, vinegar, stock, garlic, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Pour over.
- Cook LOW 6-7 hours.
- Remove chicken and crisp under the grill.
- Reduce sauce on the hob until thick.
- Serve chicken with sauce over rice.
Tips
The vinegar mellows completely during cooking — don’t worry, it won’t taste sharp.
