Rich lamb mince filling with vegetables — just add mash on top and grill for a classic shepherd’s pie.
Ingredients
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 100g frozen peas
- 1 lamb stock cube dissolved in 250ml water
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Brown the lamb mince and drain off fat.
- Add to slow cooker with onions, carrots, stock, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, and flour.
- Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
- Stir in frozen peas in the last 30 minutes.
- Transfer to a dish, top with mash, and grill until golden.
