Creamy, cheesy, and made entirely in the slow cooker. No boiling pasta separately — everything goes in one pot.
Ingredients
- 350g macaroni (uncooked)
- 400ml whole milk
- 250ml water
- 200g mature Cheddar, grated
- 100g cream cheese
- 30g butter
- 1 tsp English mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Grease the slow cooker insert with a little butter.
- Add the uncooked macaroni, milk, water, butter, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well.
- Cook on Low for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway if possible.
- Stir in the grated Cheddar and cream cheese until melted and smooth.
- Serve immediately — it thickens as it sits.
Tips
Keep an eye on this one — overcooking will make the pasta too soft. It’s ready when the pasta is tender and the sauce is creamy.
