Sweet, sticky, garlicky chicken thighs that are ridiculously easy to make. A family favourite.

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of chilli flakes (optional)

Method

  1. Mix the garlic, honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oregano, and chilli flakes.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over.
  3. Cook on Low for 5-6 hours or High for 3 hours.
  4. If you want a stickier finish, remove the chicken and reduce the sauce in a small pan for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve with rice and steamed greens.

Tips

For crispy skin, pop the cooked thighs under a hot grill for 3-4 minutes while you reduce the sauce.
