Ingredients
- 6 boneless chicken thighs, diced
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 400g tin chopped tomatoes
- 100ml double cream
- 30g butter
- 2 tbsp tikka paste
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- Fresh coriander to serve
Method
- Place the chicken, onion, and garlic in the slow cooker.
- Add the tinned tomatoes, tikka paste, cumin, turmeric, paprika, sugar, and ginger. Stir.
- Cook on Low for 5-6 hours or High for 3 hours.
- Stir in the butter, cream, and garam masala in the last 20 minutes.
- Serve with basmati rice, naan bread, and fresh coriander.
Tips
The butter and cream at the end is what makes this dish. Don’t skimp on them — this isn’t the time for healthy substitutions.
